Yes, you can shower today — no need to wait. Just keep the operated eye closed while the water runs, and avoid any direct contact of soap or shampoo with the eye.
Allow about one month before opening your eyes in water (including showers, baths, pools, sea). The risk decreases after 15 days, but it's best to respect the full month as a precaution.
Avoid rubbing the operated eye, especially in the first few weeks — firm rubbing can weaken the healing. If it happens once by accident, without pain or blurred vision, there's no need to worry.
It depends on the type of graft. For a DMEK, allow 1 month. For a graft with sutures (penetrating keratoplasty or DALK), allow about 6 months for moderate sport, up to 1 year for intense sport. In all cases, no contact sports.
